Chapter 01
On 31 July 1986, Shree Suresh Bansal laid the foundation of Mungipa Agro Products. The idea was simple: supply only what our own family would eat. That rule still decides what goes into every Monika pack — from the parathe on a Sunday morning to the dal tadka on a weeknight.
Chapter 02
The business grew into the trading and stockist arm of Bansal's Group. Strong supplier tie-ups and a name for honest, on-time supply won the trust of households, kirana stores and traders — and of kitchens that cook the macher jhol of the East and the sarson ka saag of the North.
Chapter 03
The flagship Monika® mark and Monika Rich Health® became registered brands. Our kachi ghani mustard oil with its strong jhaar and honest colour became the oil families reach for — for tadka, achaar, pakoras and everyday sabzi.
Chapter 04
But the Monika kitchen is not just about oil. Avtar, Gunkari, Aabhushan, Gittar, Yellow Pearl and more joined the family — spanning mustard, expeller and refined oils, kitchen foods and more, each made for a different kitchen and a different need.
Chapter 05
शेर का निशान — the Lion on every genuine Monika pack — is the unmistakable mark of Monika's authenticity. From a ½ litre bottle to a 15 kg tin, customers look for the Lion to recognise the original: a promise of purity, quality and trust.
